Katrina Magowan

Katrina Magowan is a promising artist having earned her BFA at the California Institute of the Arts and her MFA at the San Francisco Art Institute.

With bold color and energetic compositions Magowan creates painted worlds which are part pattern and part map making- an exploration of the inexplicable. Recently her practice has encompassed critical landscapes. Magowan seeks to portray a place that lies between the real and unreal which invites viewers to discover new landscapes in familiar places.
