Yannick Fournié
Born in 1972 in France, Yannick Fournié discovered his passion for art at an early age, initially exploring comics and developing a keen artistic sensitivity. After studying briefly at the Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux, he left to pursue his own creative path. His adventurous spirit led him to serve as a paratrooper in the French Army and later embark on a global journey as an athlete and skydiver, experiences that deepened his appreciation for freedom and self-expression.
In 2010, Yannick returned to his true calling: being an artist. His early years in painting were characterized by a strong realism, with a bold, direct style imbued with raw intensity. Over time, he redefined his creative approach, moving toward a freer, more minimalist, and impressionistic style. This pivotal shift marked a turning point in his career, enabling him to exhibit his work in several international galleries. His evocative and refined pieces invite contemplation and reflect his remarkable artistic evolution.
Today, Yannick Fournié divides his life between two iconic locations. In Biarritz, France, often called the "French California," he draws energy from the ocean and the surrounding natural environment. In Lisbon, Portugal, he finds endless inspiration in the city’s vibrant colors and unique light, which fuel his latest artistic series.
