“Like a Redwood ring in the forest that releases fresh
oxygen for us to breathe anew each breath, this moment is where we change and
live life. What we do Now gives us strength to continue in changing times. Like
the redwoods, the Studio Shop Gallery roots run deep. The elders that have gone
before hold space and have nourished, supporting the children and
grandchildren, that they might thrive, reaching new heights. This foundation
has fed the community as an arts center, a place to gather and celebrate. The
Benson and Martin families have supported and volunteered in the community for
decades. Be it on councils, commissions, committees and service organizations,
knowing in reciprocity we are all cared for and that the whole community grows
and thrives together. In this Wildscape may we remember from whence we have
come to envision and stay grounded in these ever-changing times.” – Kristen Benson
