Fragmented Horizons: Chris Hayman, Rob Strati

September 18 - October 10, 2026

Through vastly different materials and artistic processes, Rob Strati and Chris Hayman invite us to reconsider how we experience landscape. Strati reconstructs scenes from fragments of centuries-old ceramics, transforming broken objects into remarkably cohesive compositions that celebrate history, craftsmanship, and renewal. Hayman, by contrast, dissolves the landscape into luminous passages of color and gesture, capturing not a specific place, but the emotional resonance of being within nature. Together, their works reveal landscape as something remembered rather than merely observed—a place assembled through memory, perception, and imagination. One artist builds from fragments; the other paints what remains when detail fades. The result is a compelling dialogue between permanence and impermanence, history and sensation, structure and atmosphere.
