"I am a native New Yorker who loves the reality and raw beauty of everyday city life. As an artist I create work that captures some of these moments and reflects an urban vibe. My intention is for my viewers and collectors to relate to my art through recognition of and familiarity with the situations, the emotions, and the energy, almost as if they are seeing what they know. After completing my education at the School of Visual Arts I began a career in Communication Arts. My design work gained recognition, won awards and was published over the years. Throughout I remained true to my earliest passion: painting."
For more than 20 years Garcia has developed and executed a wide range of communication solutions that have included: brand identity systems, promotional collateral materials, advertising campaigns and web development. As VP Associate Director of Design at Edelman Worldwide Gail ran the New York Design Group working closely with the Chicago design team and corporate headquarters. As VP Senior Art Director at Ruder Finn Design Gail maintained client relationships, managed a large portion of the groups projects and oversaw design development and production. Prior to that Gail was an Art Director with Ad master Communications where she was responsible for several lead accounts for this new media agency. Earlier in her career Gail created her own design firm, Garcia Studio, where she designed and managed all phases of communication vehicles from initial client contact to final execution of deliverables. Clients included: American Express, Conde Nast, Random House, Johnson & Johnson, Avon, Self Magazine, AICPA, Ally & Gargano, The World Gold Council.
