Denny Holland’s art is a blend of representational painting with conceptual ideas. The foundation of his work is the exploration of both the interior and exterior environments and the personal narratives that emerge from that process.  With a background in interior design and fine art, Holland seeks to blur the lines between the lives we lead within the context of our architecture and the surrounding landscape. In his work, focus might be placed on a simple arrangement of chocolate truffles on a tabletop or an ambitious representation of the California terrain. The artist has lived and worked in the San Francisco Bay Area for over thirty years.  Currently, he teaches drawing and presentation techniques for interior designers and devotes most of his day to creating art.

Our perceptions are born and nurtured in our homes and in our places of work. We proclaim our own humanity to the world through our voices, our mobility, and of course, through the internet. The spaces we inhabit are the incubators of our dreams. These are the environments we build in which to rejuvenate and contemplate our lives.
